Prince-Albert-In-A-Can Prank Calls Could Be Illegal, Wisconsin?

Don't call State Sen. Mary Lazich, (R-New Berlin Nanny State), put on your best Bart Simpson voice, and ask if her refrigerator is running.

Ay, caramba!:

Her embarrassment could cost you $10,000.

Lazich and State Sen. Mark Hondael, R-Milwaukee) want to criminalize such calls, reports the Badger Herald:

"The bill language forbids a caller from intentionally providing a false phone number and convincing the person receiving the call that it comes from someone other than the actual caller.

"The bill would make it illegal to defraud, cause harm or wrongfully obtain any information of value from using a caller identification service to transmit misleading or inaccurate caller identification information. It would also prohibit individuals from masking their voices or providing a fake phone number to the call recipient, said Jason Vick, spokesperson for Honadel."

What's next: April Fool's jokes?

The Herald says the Senators were not introducing the bill as a result of Scott Walker's prank call fiasco.

The whole thing is so ridiculous - - I'm hoping I'm not getting pranked by posting this.

Can't raise taxes on those with money so they have to find state revenue somehow, right?

Sad that some people always think the answer is to raise taxes on "people with money."

Can we have a dollar figure that defines the rich? Or, is it just like most liberals who think "rich" is anyone who makes $1 more than they do?
