Walker Uses Jobless He Ignored, And Pretty Much Still Does
The Governor issues a lifeless two-paragraph release about the circumstances of 10,000 out-of-work Wisconsinites whose plight he and his party worsened since April, but still takes the time and space to shift the focus to a self-serving campaign talking point:
Gov. Walker: Statement on unemployment benefits
7/12/2011
I support the Legislature continuing to move forward to extend unemployment benefits. I will sign the bill when it gets to my desk. I am pleased the Legislature has chosen to take up this legislation, which I called for earlier this year.
While this will provide relief to those who could use a helping hand, taking this action underscores the importance of the need to enact pro-growth policies that create an environment where the private sector can create 250,000 new jobs.

In the 3 months that out-of-work residents anxiously waited while the legislature dithered around, how many homes went into foreclosure? How many kids missed Dr or dental app'ts? How families many filed for bankruptcy?
