New GOP Pattern in Wisconsin: Race To The Brink, Back Off, Appear 'Moderate'

So the Republican-run Joint Finance Committee, realizing that maybe 0.0001% of Wisconsinites wanted concealed firearms' legalization without permitting, training and other rules, has inserted those changes into the Wild West 'get-your-gun' bill that other Republicans were aiming for.

Joint Finance did this political shape-shifting a few other times when working on Walker's reactionary budget blueprint - - like overruling his crazy plan to end state support for recycling, and a proposal to suspend the state's federally-approved plan to keep weed-enhancing phosphorus pollution out of the state's waters.

Joint Finance has given Walker and the far-right architects of his agendas most of what they wanted to turn Wisconsin into a corporatist, Tea Party captive.

But the committee and party strategists pushing and approving these reforms (sic) are offering a bit of comfort and cover to endangered conservatives, like the recalled State Sen. Alberta Darling, (R-River Hills) - - also a Joint Finance co-chair.

She will need the loyalty of the few remaining GOP moderates in her district to survive the challenge coming from Democratic State Representative Sandy Pasch.

And there will the 'challenge' from whatever fake Democrats that Republicans dump against Pasch on the ballot - - the best example yet of where the GOP, following its extremist tendencies, is not backing away from the brink.

the bill will still allow guns to be brought into such places as the state office building, unless a specific notice prohibiting them is posted. will the state have such a posting? if not, anyone may possess guns during administraive hearing, where emotions can run high. there are not enough capitol police on duty to fulfill all requests for their presence that will result.
