And since it's breeding season right now, perhaps the rushed killing season being set up for wolf 'hunters' (that is, trappers, in the main, who shoot their snagged prey in the head) could provide bonus points or other incentives for killing

a pregnant or nursing female? 

Note that the judicial ruling which ordered up the immediate hunt has been appealed by the DNR and its oversight board.
