Paul Ryan can now display his love of government
It's been exciting to watch Republicans love government and rush to get it reopened. I can't wait to see Paul Ryan

use his big heart and considerable legislative powers to go to bat in the coming days for the Dreamers.
Surely this is the moment Ryan can exert - - for all to see - - his considerable moral and procedural leadership over the Steve Kings of the GOP.
And I have faith in Ryan and his party doing the right thing because I haven't see Republicans so enthusiastic about the basic role and importance of government since they gerrymandered minority voters to the sidelines from North Carolina to Wisconsin, maneuvered to keep a Supreme Court seat vacant until an Antonin Scalia replacement like Neil Gorsuch could be belatedly installed, cut Donald Trump's taxes and freed coal companies to dump mining waste.
