Walker Actually Uses Word "Sustainable"
His context: justifying the Wisconsin wolf hunt.
"The DNR is ready to put the rules in place that will allow them to reduce the herd to a healthy, sustainable level," Walker said in a statement.Too bad Walker did not apply "sustainable" to wetlands, wind energy, Ojibwe rice-growing and transit, as his approach and actions in all these areas makes a mockery of sustainability.
And "wolf herd?"
While that might be technically correct, isn't wolf "pack," which is also correct, more recognizable?
Methinks "herd" conjurers up deer, a more familiar animal in a less-controversial hunt.
Regardless, hearing Walker say "sustainable is like hearing Col. Sanders say "healthy,"or Fox touting "news."

Walker may be trying to relate to farmers (herds of cows) as well. But when he hears 'pack' I think Walker thinks PAC.
(Or possibly, at a distant second, 'Pack' -- as in Green Bay Packers.)
In either case, I am sure Walker wants his seemingly reasonable, just-in-time for the recall election, message heard.
