Clarifying Romney's Clarification About Caring For The Very Poor
Candidate Mitt Romney, the rich guy fresh from burying Leroy Newton Gingrich with millions of dollars worth of TV ads in Florida, said in an interview this morning he didn't care
about the very poor.
Said on a chartered airplane, by someone who earned more than $20 million last year, and is worth a quarter-of-a-billion dollars.
Now he's into clarification mode, saying while he cared more for the middle class he did, in fact, care about the very poor.
You
have to remember that in Romney's world, very poor people are those
making less that $375,000, or his income - - "not much" - - in last
year's speaking fees.
