More Land Added To Public Domain In Northern Wisconsin

Stewardship funding adds 1,100 acres.

I wonder if anyone has ever considered using these funds in a more targeted manner. For example, near larger municipalities, instead of up north.

I agree, Dave, that too often these funds go Up North, where the state's tourism industry gets all the attention.

But cities environments need as much protection, perhaps even more.

Some of these funds have helped expand the Kettle Moraine, and assisted the creation of the state park at summerfest, I believe (at the island), but an urban agenda by a more urban-focused Governor, would be a welcome change.
