Milwaukee County, Contractors Get Wrist Slap For Asbestos Release

Remember when Milwaukee County's Courthouse Annex got torn down for the Marquette Interchange 'improvement,' with asbestos carelessly released during demolition?

The County and its contractors accepted a $25,000 forfeiture.

Hey, I'm breathing easier now.

James, let us not forget that this was a no bid contract by Walker and that the company took seven assessments before the demolition and still "missed" the majority of the asbestos, then jacked up the rates after there was no turning back.
