Scott Walker's Mitt Romney "Foot-In-Mouth" Moment

Mitt Romney is this year's Foot-In-Mouth champion, but give Scott Walker his due, as whining about your job and taxpayer-paid salary in this economy is flat-out insulting.

I'm hearing and seeing a lot of outraged references on websites, Facebook and elsewhere to Scott Walker's remark to radio talker Charlie Sykes at his annual live event Monday night that being Governor doesn't pay enough:

And if we fail to win, it will take us down the path we see, failing, people like the people in Illinois, down in Springfield, and I for one don't want that. Not because this job is that important to me, 'cuz frankly my wife in some ways would love it if I'd go back to the private sector and make some real money.
So $144,443 a year - - that's more than $12,000-a-month, plus great health insurance, pension credits, airplane access, motorcades, drivers, a mansion, cook, gardener and other staff perks - - isn't enough for you?

Hey - - we can accommodate your desire to be released, as you may recall.

Also: what's with the malarkey about "back to the private sector?" The American Red Cross?

C'mon. That's the non-profit world.

And selling warranties for IBM computers? Really? You're a career politician.
