Obama Throws Down The Gauntlet; Great Jobs Speech

And a civics lesson on the value of government. I loved it.

[Apologies for a spelling error in the first ineration's headline. Blogger spell check doesn't do headlines and I shouldn't write with one contact lens out.]

Outstanding speech.

Yes, getting a great summary of the older and basic core Democratic Party principles neatly and clearly spoken would matter quite a bit if Mr Osterity actually did plan on ever adhereing to or promoting any of them. Never going to happen.

Mr breathless and feckless, we've heard it all before and I won't hold my breath waiting for him actually follow through with any even small "d," action. Roll back environmental regulations last week and then speechify that he'll never bend on that issue. Does anyone actually think he will NOT approve the XL pipeline? Ha.

I don't see him ever believing his own initial 2012 stump speech rhetoric and payroll tax cuts are only one of the methods to shift SS into oblivion by reducing funding for payments to future recipients.

Come on guys, you're pulling my leg here. I voted for him once.

Sounded exactly like Stimulus 33 1/3. Probably will be just as effective..

The nervous laughter by the Republicons was no doubt an indicator of a new game of hard ball and they came without their protective cups.

The pragmatic Obama will indeed approve the pipeline. There are many positives to this project.
