Eugene Kane Says Voter ID Law Suppresses The Vote

Well said.

I'm officially done arguing with people about whether the new photo ID law is a plan to suppress the vote in the minority community or not.
Thanks to a whistle-blower in Madison, I've finally got my answer.
I've been taking that position for some time - - back in January, and recently here and here - - but Kane, at the Journal Sentinel, has a much larger megaphone and his message will reach further.

And this is a good a time to remind readers that the League of Women Voters in Wisconsin is funding a legl challenge to the law.

Information, here.

From another article on I.D. stickers on the same page as Mr. Kane's,
"Nevertheless, only IDs from certain types of institutions would be accepted. IDs issued by technical colleges, for example, are not valid for voting.

Board members said that policy didn't make sense because technical schools and University of Wisconsin two-year colleges are so similar. But they said they could not do anything about it because lawmakers had rejected an amendment to the law that would have allowed IDs issued by technical colleges."
Read if you're black or poor in Mil. and go to MATC and don't have a drivers license-screw you. Compare to WCTC in Waukesha how many students have to take a bus?? They have about 75 acres of parking lots
