Robin Vos, a Republican state legislator, says a protestor dumped a beer on him in Madison.
If the account is accurate, this was a stupid thing to do. You don't assault people you disagree with, and you don't give their allies days of material to trumpet.
Get smarter.

One bad actor doesn't represent everyone. It might however show just how angry some people are.
I understand the anger. And this is just one guy. But one person losing his or her head has consequences that we just do not need.
And on its face, it's wrong. Remember the uproar over punches thrown at protestors, and when flags were grabbed and balloons destroyed.
Everyone needs to keep their head, and when there is violence, condemn it.
People can be as smart as they want. I doubt that's the issue here. I doubt this guy consulted Mike Tate or got a call to action from Segway Jeremy, or read about the beerbath tactic in some supposedly humorous letter from the Cheddarsphere. He was drunk, but in WI drinking is 10000% cool, the only reason to live here, and the hallmark of A Real Man.

We need dartboards in there and a beer pong table. Our politicians need to stop trying to cover up the fact that they are all narcissistic drunken frat boys, and really dig down and celebrate who they really are.

Meh, it's not cool to douse someone, but I don't mind that people are getting in a d-bag like Vos' face. Remember, Vos is the head of ALEC's Wisconsin delegation and is the one who led the charge to abolish RTAs, which will destroy the ability to fund transit in the state's 2 biggest cities and economic center.
While violence is wrong, confrontation is OK, and frankly will be the only way these Koch whores feel consequences for what they're doing to our state. At every turn, we need to remind them of our presence.
And when the righties try to use this incident to hide another month of job losses in Wisconsin- let em have it and show how weak they really are.
And, as you forgot: You don't waste good beer.

I don't want to get in your face about the whole "Beer on Vos" controversy but I don't think the kid who dumped beer on Mr Vos cares what any of us think. He isn't going to play by the rules Dems and Repubs have set out and would probably find it funny that we think he will listen to us about political strategy. The important thing to know is that there are a lot of angry unemployed and uninsured people who are getting ready to collect signatures and work on the recall. They are not afiliated with a party. Dems better engage and try to find a candidate who these people can vote for because if you don't, they will find their own candidate.
