Walker's Plan To Gut DNR Already Working

Expertise is walking out the door.

Institutional memory...commitment...not needed, if all you have in mind is ideological direction, not science, law or good governance.

Would you stay at on the staff of a health and fitness spa if a new CEO installed an all-KFC menu?

Another Scott Walker victory (sic).

I do not find it surprising that a 67 year old employee with 37 years would decide to retire. Other employees who decide to retire on their own are making their own decisions based on what they believe is in their own best interests. The general public will most likely view these types of stories as employees recognizing that the party is over.

After all of this shakes out I think that the environment will survive just fine even if some non-existent problems don’t get fixed. The Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts (WICCI) would be one of my candidates for de-funding.

Believing "the environment will survive just fine" is the same sort of thinking that led to the removal of the wetlands and natural barriers against erosion in the pre-Katrina Gulf of Mexico.
