Ron Johnson Already Selling Out His Core Supporters
It took less than a month for new Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson to spin around, backtrack and sellout:
The Washington Post notes that Johnson is among the high-profile Tea Party candidates who got elected with that movement's support, but now is afraid to attend its caucus.
Tea Party?
Never heard of it.

Could it be Ron Johnson is the prime example of Paul Ryan's warning about those who receive entitlements, (a business position from father-in-law, government subsidized plant and railroad connection)?
Ryan's quote, "This is a future in which we will transform our social safety net into a hammock, which lulls able-bodied people into lives of complacency and dependency."
Now with a government salary, with a lifelong hefty government pension, why would Johnson be concerned about those who put him into office. He's got his golden hammock paid for by his base or by borrowing from China. Why would he risk saying or doing anything for his base?

I think some ordinary tea party members are being taken advantage of by corporate interests.
Helen, I am afraid those are probably the same corporate interests which financially sponsored the birth of the TP movement at its inception and yes I agree that many people were duped.
Great railroad links at your blog page, thank you very much. I have family in Colorado and always enjoy visiting.

nonquixote, would any of those family members be interested in supporting more trains in Colorado? (or in Wisconsin for that matter?)
And nonquixote, thanks for the compliment.
