Major DC Website Featuring Walker Email Stories

Mike Allen's widely-read political news "Playbook" summary at POLITICO.com gave prominent mention Thursday to Walker and the email dump.
If you are in or around politics, this is not what you want to read, especially here:

--WashPost A1, above fold, "Gov. Walker, eyeing 2016, faces fallout from probes: Release of ex-aide's emails could stall national rise of Wisconsin Republican," by Rosalind S. Helderman in Milwaukee : "The investigation focused on Walker's time as Milwaukee county executive in the run-up to his 2010 election as governor ... [E]-mails and other previously sealed court documents released Wednesday showed nearly daily coordination between Walker, his gubernatorial campaign and public employees in his county office. Walker has characterized the activities as wayward behavior of low-level aides. But the e-mails show that he knew county officials were working closely with campaign officials." http://goo.gl/hcK8uP
Allen still ranks Walker near the top of the 2016 GOP presidential list, but I'm betting that reflects a pre-email dump analysis.

Additionally, a breakout story from the emails showing then-Milwaukee County Executive Walker ordering the firing of a County doctor for once modeled thongs wearing a thong is trending as the POLITICO.com  #2 story on the site now.

"Get rid of the MD asap," Walker writes, though the email exchange indicates the doctor was "competent," and the photos of her were "not pornographic."

 Only "suggestive," to some.

Walker's weird, one-man job-killing war-on-women.

I'm sure they were freaking out about the MD thong thing because this was the same time they were trying to "quash" a federal investigation into patient-on-patient sexual abuse at the behavioral health division (without, of course, any concern whatsoever for what was happening to the patients). I'm sure they were worried the "thong" would undermine the narrative they were pretending to create.

If the right-wing insiders at POLITICO think this is a big deal, you know they're scared to death down at Walker Inc. and especially since these emails are only the lead-in to the main event

I wish someone would step up for Dr. Happy and the way he was so quickly replaced by a "friendly".
