Scott Walker, Rocket Man

Let us review the history of our Governor's business predictions.

*  Of course, there is 250,000 new-jobs/10,000 new-businesses' creation pledge - - with the jobs pledge homogenized to a mere facilitator's line in Walker's campaign bio - - that looks as unattainable as it was politically suicidal when he made it in 2010 and again the following year.

*  Then, after the recall election, there was a burst of out-of this world optimism:

Gov. Walker says business hiring will skyrocket after he wins recall election

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker told an Illinois business conference today that quote, “like a rocket, you’ll see businesses hiring” after the June fifth recall election –

*  Which didn't happen, as the state sunk to 44th nationally in job growth, but Walker, just back from his China junket, launched his imagination again on Sunday:

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker Sees State's Business With China "Taking Off"

...Walker, expressing confidence that commerce between China and his state would increase quickly in the future. “I just see it taking off,” he said.

In fact, any job growth in Wisconsin flatlined as soon as Walker was retained in June 2012. Guess "job creators" are telling you what they really think about these policies.

And now we have sales tax revenues falling along with wages and job growth. Funny how that works

you know what creates jobs?

Demand.

You know what doesn't create demand? Tax breaks.

You know what depresses demand? Flattening wages.
