Rumored Jobs' Bump This Week Would Be Walker's Garbage-Time Three-Pointer

Having presided over a failed jobs' picture for the better part of a year, with only 6,000-net jobs created in a year where 62,500 would have kept him on pace for the 250,000-new-jobs' pledge he threw out in his campaign like beads to New Orleans revelers, Walker is hinting that he sees brighter numbers bubbling up Wednesday - - ready-made copy for a TV ad blitz paid for from his national fund-raising tour, but not much more than that.

Looking for recognition as a job creator [Sic] at this stage of the game reminds of the way the last guy off the bench in the closing minute of a basketball game blowout might pound his chest after hitting a three-point shot that has no effect on the score.

And by the way - - one of the reasons we are all paying so much attention to the jobs' report data is that Walker made the 250,000-jobs pledge a campaign mantra and it came with Promise 2.0 - - 10,000 new businesses, too.

I agree, when your winning the the game and the fans are on your side, why pile on by shooting a 3 at the end of the game in which you are going to win?

Kind of poor sportsmanship to take away Barrett's only talking point.
