Join Forces to Host Public Discussion on Protecting and Preserving Wisconsin’s Waterways
What:
On
October 5, 2011, Clean Wisconsin, the Alliance for the Great Lakes and The
Scotts Miracle-Gro Company will host a public forum discussing the critical
role homeowners can play in addressing water quality issues affecting Lake
Michigan and the hundreds of lakes, rivers and streams in southeastern
Wisconsin. The forum will highlight steps residents can implement in their own
households and landscapes to help protect and preserve the Great Lakes and
Wisconsin’s waterways.
The forum, Urban Water Quality: Community-Based
Solutions, aims to tackle issues from urban storm water management and
green infrastructure, to steps homeowners and communities can take to help
preserve the region’s precious water and natural resources for all
generations. The Milwaukee forum is part of a multi-city homeowner education
initiative sponsored by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in partnership with the Alliance for the Great Lakes.
