Walker: Grabby Big Government Controlling Health Care Is Bad...Except When Walker Proposes It

Scott Walker is proposing a major reform of state health care that could alter coverages or restrict eligibility for about one million Wisconsin residents, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

As with Walker's push to restrict collective bargaining for all employees, it looks a power grab by big government with grave, long-lasting consequences.

Which is how Walker reacted after national health care reforms passed the Congress last year:

"(The) vote on so called 'health care reform' was an unprecedented power grab that put big government ahead of the people and has grave, long-lasting consequences," Walker said in a statement after the health care law was passed.

Supporters of national health care reform pointed to various benefits, cost-savings, and debt reduction the program included.

Republicans blasted that notion - - but are embracing Walker's proposal on those very grounds.
