On The Closing Of The John Doe Probe
I can't second-guess the DA on ending the John Doe without further charges, as reported in the Journal Sentinel.
Walker will have to explain in upcoming election campaigns why he hired close aides who broke laws on the public's time right outside door in his office suite.

No second-guessing here either, but a few thoughts:
*Sure would be nice to think that every newspaper in WI will now file open records requests for access to the emails stored in that secret system, with the intent of publishing each and every one of them. Of course I understand that the emails are not as important as who signed the recall petition and how much every public employee in Wisconsin makes, but a few of us might like to read what was being discussed on taxpayer-funded time.
*Yes, I suppose we will have to wait for any upcoming election campaign for those questions to be asked, because it doesn't appear our newspapers had a big interest in getting to the bottom of any of this. Why start now?
*I thought there were emails to and from Walker in the secret system, is that incorrect?
*That's got to be a difficult press release for Cullen or whomever to write: "Governor Walker applauds the closing of the John Doe probe and wants to reiterate unequivocably that he knew nothing about the campaign work done on taxpayer-funded time by multiple staffers, or about the embezzlement from a fund that he took away from a veteran's group and gave to a trusted aide, or about secret communications being conducted 20 feet from his office door. Governor Walker looks forward to continuing to serve the people of Wisconsin just as he has since the beginning of his political career as a college student."
Sorry for talking so much; I feel a little better now.
I remember Boxer saying he was going to get 14 years in prison and $50k in fines.
It will be interesting to see what happens to his criminal defense fund.
Rayguns, you remember wrong or else you're lying.** I never said that. If you're still convinced, look back thru past posts and find it.
Or, like your beloved hero and namesake, you have dementia.
I stand corrected, that post was you talking about potential charges and sentencing for someone else. (Darlene Wink I believe)
It was a post about Walker being a criminal, but for some reason you brought her up.
However, all was not lost. I did get to read all of the comedy that was posted by the lefties about how Walker had no chance in the recall, was going to be indicted, blah blah, blah.
It's nice to get a refresher in just how wrong your side has been the last few years.
Roggensack for WI SC in April!
@ Raygun's Dementia:
I didn't post any predictions about Darlene Wink's charges and punishment either.
You're projecting again, projecting your poor prediction record onto others.
Re-post the post or shut up.
PS: Hope you got a few giggles from reading your own crappy predictions as well. That's why I don't play the numbers prediction game: far too easy to get caught up in your wishes.
Sue, many good thoughts. Thanks for sharing them. I read the criminal complaint against Brian Pierick, boyfriend of Tim Russell, which detailed their "grooming" of a 17-year old boy in Waukesha for sharing porn, blow jobs, role-playing where Pierick and Russell are the “daddies” and the minor is their “son”, etc.
In all fairness, the adults, Russell and Pierick, do ask the minor a few times if he is over 18, expressing that all communication must end if he is not, and the minor assures them he is “almost 19.” However, there are many clues in the language and the circumstances the minor reveals over the course of many texts that would cause anyone to question his age (especially, you’d think, two people who have everything to lose if the kid is NOT 18.): he lives at home with parents, he’s sexually inexperienced, and he still attends high school. They continue to pursue him anyway, despite the warning signs.
My problem is this: I have friends who live quite close to the minor. I have minor children of my own attending high school and as a parent, the idea that these two adults could troll my friends’ or my neighborhood looking for minors on whom to prey frightens me and my friends as it should all parents. That these two sexual predators worked closely in positions of trust with the Milwaukee County Executive and the current Wisconsin Governor is hugely concerning, especially considering the aura of being ‘God-chosen’ Walker has cloaked himself in. It’s bad judgment at best, rotten politics and hypocrisy to the hilt. The fact that Russell was being paid by the taxpayers of Wisconsin and protected by BFF Gov Walker enabled the behavior and ability of these two to travel between Milwaukee, Madison and Waukesha to locate and groom “boys” for sexual purposes is really appalling.
If Scott Walker thinks residents of Wisconsin have any pride in their state anymore, given what he has done to destroy it, he's sadly mistaken.
When it comes to telling the truth . . . or presenting any actual facts, Rayguns remains silent. It's one way to shut him up.
@Boxer - - I inadvertently deleted a comment from him on the order of, 'where's your John Doe post...crickets.' He must have missed this posting. Crickets is an old Sykes saw.
James,
You actually deleted my post that had a link to the statements where Boxer was talking about Wink and her felonies (which she never faced) fines, and years Wink was going to serve in prison.
I don't have time to look it up again, but it was posted. Look it up for yourself Boxer. It was in a Scott Walker/John Doe post about a year ago.
Yes, I acknowledged that a couple of days ago. I was posting comments using a phone's small, heat-sensitive screen and away it went. Sorry. But take a look at the comment thread and you will that acknowledgment.
