New Berlin Discovers There's Need For Workforce Housing
People lining up at 2:00 A.M. tells you there is a need.
As late as 2008, New Berlin had but 80 units of so-called affordable housing.
And there was a struggle to get past 80 units.
And though New Berlin is not Waukesha, the New Berlin experience - - including the prompt addressing of regional socio-economic issues once Milwaukee agreed to sell New Berlin Lake Michigan water for a portion of the city that is outside of the Great Lakes basin - - colors Waukesha's water sale discussions with Milwaukee.'
That's just the way it is.
Now if only New Berlin would begin addressing its transit deficit.

Hmmm- I wonder how he made this conclusion....
