But at least we know where the greed was.

Damn school boards and union contracts and benefits that almost no average taxpayer will ever get were at the root of the problem.

I think you are over-analyzing this ideologically.

These boards got bad advice, then took it. Most boards did not go that route; they have themselves to blame.
