A Closer Look At Scott Walker's Claimed Vote For Pres. Reagan
I took another look at this quote from Scott Walker I'd recently posted taken from a right-wing website's interview with our Governor, and I noticed how further absurd is Walker's claim that he'd voted for his idol Ronald Reagan:
I remember, I was a teenager, had just become a teenager and voted for Ronald Reagan — limited government, you know, smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense. You knew what you were getting. You knew how a Reagan administration, a Reagan presidency was going to be better for you.
"...had just become a teenager" means when you turned 13, right?
For Walker, born on Nov. 2, 1967, becoming a teenager began on Nov. 2, 1980 - - two days before Reagan was elected to his first term on Nov. 4, 1980.
For Walker, born on Nov. 2, 1967, becoming a teenager began on Nov. 2, 1980 - - two days before Reagan was elected to his first term on Nov. 4, 1980.
And Walker would have just turned 17 just four days before Reagan was elected to his second term as President on Nov 6, 1984.
Walker was not eligible to vote for Reagan as President in either 1980 or 1984, and certainly not after Walker "had just become a teenager."
He'd have been accurate and truthful If he had said he had just become a teenager when Reagan was first elected, but he added a detail of embellishment to do, what - - build up his relationship cred with Reagan's legacy, persona and constituencies as 2016 rolls around?

These are the types of statements that should cause the stater to be immediately barred from ANY office. If they can lie so casually about simple things, they will certainly lie when things aren't so simple. It reads volumes into the character of the speaker.
This is the same kind of math Honest Eagle Scout Scott Walker is using in his explanations of the state budget!
If held to his claim, he committed voter fraud.
next, to get the jewish vote, he'll say that he was bar mitzvahed at 13.
Well, we all know that 13 or 14 year olds study U.S. history in their 8th grade social studies classes, and many teachers like to stage mock elections to help get the kiddies thinking about current events!
Oh right, the dang teachers are responsible,
Hey I'm not knocking teachers. Teachers get credit for shaping Scott Walker and everything he's has done!
Waiting for your correction ...
why has no one discussed the apology that was posted by the reporter who did the interview, stating his transciptionist made a mistake? that Walker DID NOT say he voted for Reagan? this is public knowledge now. the audiotapes have been made PUBLIC.
instead of grasping at straws, why not grasp at FACTS?
