There are a lot of good ideas that just don’t work and T. Boone Pickens is now totally pulling out of wind energy.

Some really great sounding ideas such as communism, social planning and eugenics often lead to disaster and rather than trying to re-impose them in different ways and under different names it normally turns out a lot better if things are allowed to evolve and develop naturally. I thought that alternative energy sources would take off under the Carter administration and totally supported the effort. It just didn’t work then and it isn’t working now (the world is just not fair).

Oil is still the second most abundant liquid on the planet and proven oil reserves have actually doubled since 1980. We are quickly headed into a deepening depression; now re-fueled by Obama’s extending the moratorium on drilling in the Gulf to 7 years which immediately resulted in higher gas prices. Consciously destroying the economy to artificially create a demand for alternative energy sounds like a crazy scheme but this has actually been proposed by environmentalists.
