The Zimmerman Verdict

Not guilty not a surprise.

But what a terrible outcome for Trayvon Martin's family, and what an awful message to send about what is legal in Florida.

Not guilty is not the same thing as innocent.

At the risk of sounding flippant, at least Zimmerman had to face a jury in the first place. The blame for this verdict belongs to the Sanford PD and the State Attorney barely caring about a dead black teenager until being forced to.
