Scott Walker Lures Protesters To Angling Opening Day

Wherein he discovers that politics has all sorts of reel life consequences.

I hope the protesters ended up all wet....

Were they playing "hooky" from work again?

Alright... I'll stop being a smart bASS.

But seriously, to bother somebody while they are fishing? At some point the protesting will start harming their cause more than helping it. I know I would be very irritated if I were fishing and saw people protesting Doyle out on the lake (back in the day)

While they have a right to protest, a lake should be something used for relaxation and as a getaway for all. Yes, Walker was being protested, but I am sure there demonstration had the unintended consequences of bothering other lake users who simply wanted to enjoy nature on this day and get away from all this political stuff.

Get real! Anyone intent on poisoning my lake has no right to relax on his lake. If Scott Walker is trying to enjoy Lake Wissota as a little "relaxation and and as a getaway" -- perhaps you should consider that he's gonna 'getaway' with poisoning everybody else's lakes while he exploits Wissota for a little politically motivated photo op.

If I were you, I'd keep an eye on what Scott Walker's trying to 'getaway' with, rather than complaining about citizens who merely want Walker to fulfill his obligation to them to do what's in the best interest of the state of Wisconsin. Not dole out corporate welfare to private interests that don't contribute to Wisconsin's best interests.

Reagan's Disciple- Oh spare me, it was a photo op for Walker, and as a result, a public appearance. It's not like he was at a private cottage on his weekend off with the family.

And especially given how he wants to give away the environmental protections and undeveloped land that makes places like Lake Wissota so special, the guys on the boat had every right to let him hear it.

They may have a right to let him hear it. However, they should not infringe on the rights of other citizens to enjoy the peace and tranquility that is part of fishing and our great outdoors.

Do you suppose they will follow him out in the woods while deer hunting?

Boo- f'ng -hoo!

If anything has been ruined, it's the lives and livelihoods of working class people in the state of Wisconsin. Ruined by Gov Fake Fisherman and Liar in Chief.

He's the one who waded in over his hip boots in environmental deregulations, corporate giveaways, developers run amok in the DNR, and campaign lies. He deserves every smelly dead fish, algae bloom and polluted water that flows into his boots.

No peace, no mercy until he steps up and admits he was wrong. Or is recalled.

Enjoy nature? What a joke! He wouldn't know nature if an Asian Carp hit him in the face and knocked him out of the boat. Hmmm . . . . there's an idea.

That's precisely what the governor is doing by enabling polluters to kill the lakes in Wisconsin.

Keep up the rhetoric and "new civility," it does wonders for your side.

RD: Keep defending Walker and his corporate buddies and bullying ways. It does wonders for YOUR side. And have a nice day! :-) !

Anony,

Where did I defend Walker's corporate buddies or bullying ways?

I simply stated that it was classless to protest on the lake where OTHER people go to relax and get away from all of this stuff.

I am having a nice day, thank you.
