There Is A Divide in Wisconsin... Between Milwaukee County...

And its three surrounding upper-income, heavily-white counties - - Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington - - where it's largest city has been barred by state law from expansion for 50 years - - but with which it must 'plan' and call itself a region.

And provide municipal services for the region's visitors and workers.

While the state continues to widen the divide with transportation spending favoring the non-Milwaukee counties - - documented in these comments on the Zoo Interchange, here.

And in two pending civil rights complaints, here.

Little wonder that studies routinely say the suburbs have segregated themselves from Milwaukee, though transportation and housing policies by governments keep applying that coat of lily-white paint.

So it won't be the first time you see this statement:

Walker got it wrong.
