Prosser's Campaign Director Is Also Waukesha Business, Water Point-Person
I thought seeing Brian Nemoir pop up as David Prosser's campaign director spoke volumes about the Republican establishment's command-and-control network in Waukesha County, that reddest-of-red Wisconsin counties.
It was Nemoir who issued the infamous news release upon being hired by Prosser last year - - mildy pulled back by Prosser later - - that Prosser would complement the Walker agenda and its legislative initiatives.
Nemoir's pro-water advocacy group - - coordinated with the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce - - got heavily-involved in promoting the Lake Michigan water diversion plan for the City of Waukesha last year when the application for water was snarled in a power struggle in Waukesha's city hall and then held up as incomplete by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The Waukesha Chamber of Commerce has morphed into the Waukesha County Business Alliance - - with Brian Nemoir as chair-elect.
The diversion plan review by the DNR is still in a preliminary stage - - with some information requested from the city still in preparation - - but there are signs that Walker's election will put the review by Wisconsin regulators on a fast-track.
Waikesha's business leaders know the importance of the diversion's success - - though it is not clear how all the Waukesha politicking or the fresh politicization of the Wisconsin DNR will influence the other states' reviews.

Did you know that at least one of the Fitzgerald brothers was in Washington, D.C. at the height of the stand-off with the absent Democratic lawmakers? I wonder what that was all about.
Thanks for the plug and I enjoy the blog. Next time ask, and I'll send you a full bio.
You can send it anytime, and thanks for being a reader.
Interesting that when you go to Nemoir's water group site there is no link saying "who we are" or anything you can do but sign up to join them or get email info. Nothing but an address, so no way for most folks to make any of the connections you are sharing with us. Thanks.
How con-VEEN-ient!!#!@@!
