Maybe Frontier Airlines Can Start Selling New Coke, Too

Frontier Airlines - - a major presence at Milwaukee Airport these days - - has announced it will begin charging customers real money for some carry-on baggage if they didn't buy their tickets on the airline's website.

Save money on your ticket, fork it over to Frontier. That'll earn you customer loyalty.

As will the Frontier plan to make certain customers pay $1.99 for formerly-complimentary soft drinks, tea or coffee.

Why not go all the way and bake chocolate chip cookies on board - - then sell 'em for $5 each.

Details, here.

Sounds like Frontier is headed for the Ryanair model, although I'm not sure Ryanair has gone so far as to charge for carryon luggage. I'll stick with Southwest.
