RoJo claims bombast-free truth-teller status. Facts say otherwise.

The Journal Sentinel and the USA Network of papers published in full a long, angry and self-serving Ron Johnson screed against media he says done him wrong.

Opinion: Sen. Ron Johnson says 'Mainstream media have abused the trust vested in them by the public

In which this line caught my eye:

I’m not bombastic, and I don’t engage in personal political attacks. Instead, I tell the truth.

* What about this 2013 claim of his which looks rather bombastic?

Ron Johnson Accuses Group Fighting Climate Change Of ‘Environmental Jihad’

* Or these 2016 attacks which were both personal and bombastic ?

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) compared those mounting the efforts to address climate change to Joseph Stalin and Hugo Chavez, while claiming that it has been “proven scientifically” that the climate is not in fact warming....
"There’s an arrogance of power there that they’re utopians, that they really think they can create heaven on earth, and where it’s failed in the past, those people like Stalin and Chavez and the Castros, the nutcases in North Korea–by the way, if you want equal results, go to North Korea, you have equal misery.”

* About about his 'I tell the truth' claim, note this doozy

Ron Johnson falsely claims there was 'no violence' on Senate side of US Capitol on January 6

* And this fact, coincidentally about one of its opposites - 'misinformation.'

Make no mistake, what RoJo says is authentic political gibberish

He needs to add "Without Any Evidence" to his last name because it seems like that phrase pops up somewhere around absolutely everything he says. It's especially galling when he claims to be "just asking" when clearly anyone who spent ten minutes researching the matter using well founded sources (or even just common sense) would know his comment-disguised-as-a-question has little to nothing to do with the subject at all. Mostly his sudden bursts of inquisitiveness seem to come out of right field (far, far right field) and to be specifically designed to derail any useful conversation that might be going on.

Senator Johnson Without Any Evidence also tried to throw out my vote. For that I plan to do everything in my power to make sure he is never again elected to the Senate or any other public office.

RoJo is only cloning the obnoxious "just asking" MO from *ucker Carlson. As we were reminded last night while watching cold open from 03-16-21 SNL rerun that began with a typical "loose collection of scare mongering non sequiturs."
