Reality check: NY Times says WI COVID deaths exceed 7,000

I've noted the reporting differential many times, so while the Wisconsin Department of Health Services says the COVID19 death count in the state Friday is a jaw-dropping 6,525, The New York Times, citing Johns Hopkins University data and other tallies puts the count  at 7,167.

Bottom line: Wear a mask, get vaccinated, respect your neighbors, honor the dead.

And demand better data; it helps fight complacency.
