Wal-Mart To Slowly Discontinue Plastic Baby Bottle Sales

The good news: Wal-Mart is joining the movement to stop selling plastic bottles for babies that contain BPA, a plastic toxin.

The bad news: the removal won't take place until next Spring.

Yeah, what's the rush?

Probably supply issues?

Did you ever consider anything that doesn't involve Wal Mart being evil?

I like their push to sell compact fluorescent bulbs.

You never know who to believe, but I read a study (by the FDA I doesn't that concluded that BPA didn't pose any risks. In fact some argue that BPA makes plastic things for kids less brittle and less likely to break into swallowing sized pieces. NOt really an issue for bottles.

We do tend to over-react at times (remember Alar?).
