Al Gore Launches New Climate Change Awareness Effort

Though Al Gore is committing much of his own resources to expanding awareness of climate change, expect the flat-earthers to go nuts.

The rest of us, and our children and grandchildren, thank him.

Yawn.

Just wait for every Assembly Republican to start selling carbon offsets this summer as campaign fundraisers.

Could be very cool... er.... hot... climate changing?

Jim:

This is a complete joke, basically they are going to brain wash people with this non sense. If Al Gore (who is a scientist, right?), believes in global warming so much, why wont he debate the subject? Why does he live in a mansion and fly in private jets? He is a joke, as are all you brain dead followers who believe anything your master leader says. More and more real scientists are exposing the fraud of global warming. I guess all you eco nuts need to have something to do.

I am all for conserving energy, but I hope the American people are smart enough not to fall for this non-sense.

Where can I get a gig, where I can start a company, and guilt people into buying carbon credits, to make them feel better so I can get rich like Al Gore. Then I will have money to buy carbon credits so I can live guilt free and waste all the energy I want. Al Gore, you are a hypocrite, and Jim, unless you practice what you preach, you are one also.

Yaay! Al Gore once again shows how unimportant he has become. The BBC is now reporting this:

Global warming 'dips this year'

By Roger Harrabin
BBC News environment analyst

Global temperatures will drop slightly this year as a result of the cooling effect of the La Nina current in the Pacific, UN meteorologists have said.

The World Meteorological Organization's secretary-general, Michel Jarraud, told the BBC it was likely that La Nina would continue into the summer.

This would mean global temperatures have not risen since 1998, prompting some to question climate change theory.

If global temperatures are stable, why is the arctic ice melting so dramatically?

And doesn't the basic message of conservation in Gore'w work have value?

What do you have to lose by helping save resources, which is what reducing greenhouse gas is all about?

"Why is the arctic ice melting so dramatically?

First, define "dramatically". Second, how do you know for certain it's caused by climate change? Maybe sub-glacial volcanic eruptions have something to do with it.

CBS, NBC and many other news organizations have also reported on these issues lately. Google it.

To the Anon. suggesting I check out Science Daily: Thanks. I found more material there linking arctic melt to human activity and turned it into a post Friday night.
