Heavy-Duty, Out-Of-State Weaponry In The Penokees For 'Security' Is a Bad Idea

The mining company overreacts to an incident of petty vandalism by bringing in assault weapons.

Photos, video of a very bad escalation, here. Aren't there campers, hikers and residents nearby?

Some cooler, calmer heads will have to prevail. Where are the county sheriffs and other local law enforcement officials with history there?

Further proof that GTAC has a criminal business mentality. Historically, mining and gun thugs have gone hand-in-hand.

Maybe the local hikers and campers should have 24/7 security to keep them safe from the corporate rent-a-soldiers hired to provide 24/7 security for the core drilling. Just a thought. I am distant from the goings-on.

This is an invading force. They should be dealt with by calling out the Wis National Guard.
