Haven't Heard Much About Paul Ryan And His Medicare Fiasco

After a month of bad polls and town halls gone awry, the GOP gave up on it, then Osama bin Laden's death knocked it completely out of the news. Medicare vouchers, R.I.P.

A reminder of what happened, and why, from The Nation.

His town halls did not go awry,in fact he got standing ovations at many of them. I know I attended his sessions in Elkhorn, Delavan and Lake Geneva. You are referencing "The Nation", you could not come up with a more liberal rag other than maybe the Sherpard Express.

You seem to forget that we have a Democrat controlled Senate and a Democrat in the Whitehouse, so how do you think it will get passed? Also, when we have morons like Nancy Pelosi and other liberal hacks, telling half-thruths and false hoods about the plan. Even are great Dumbo eared president cannot correctly state Ryan's plan.

He was taken to the woodshed not once, not twice, but 3 times by Harvard Economist and Pulitzer Prize-winning NYT columnist Paul Krugman.

The Congressional Budget Office said the plan did not work.

Yet you blame the Nation, the Shepherd Xpress, Nancy Pelosi and the President of the United States for not 'correctly' explaining the plan to the American people. . . . . priceless! It's not their job to explain the inexplicable, illogical, unfactual and mathematically unsupportable 'plan' that Ayn Ryan has slapped together and called a work of heartbreaking genius.

However, the everyday working class folks at Ryan's town hall meetings figured it out-- and refused to let him pit them and their retirements and healthcare against those of their children and grandchildren.
