More Walker Hypocrisy: Attack Federal Spending...But Take The Transit Funds

Scott Walker will use federal funds to help keep the buses running.

Same federal government - - the only one we have - - that gave the county stimulus funds, after Walker opposed taking the money, and then agreed to take it.

Election year follies.

Hypocricy? Really?

And you want to build a $100 million train to run people 6 miles while the bus system fails.

Point the finger and how many point back at you James?

The trolley will complement the bus system and help sell transit, period.

@Anonymous - you're just looking at costs and not the benefits of light rail. Every economist knows that public projects like this stimulate productivity, personal income, and property values. It helps Milw's image as a major modern urban center, which is great for business and tourism.

Plus, there are tens of thousands of people who live and recreate downtown. Watch and see how popular it will be.

And yes, Walker is all fluff and no substance when he wants to use federal funds for one kind of transit but not another, especially after saying he won't use fed funds for anything. It don't make sense.
