Water/Social Justice Consultants Will Release Report At Waukesha, Milwaukee Settings

All are in either Milwaukee or Waukesha because those two cities are at the center of the discussion of whether Lake Michigan water will be diverted to Waukesha from Milwaukee.

The study to be discussed has been on a planning fast-track by the UWM Center for Economic Development. It is serving as the consultant to the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, SEWRPC.

SEWRPC is writing a regional water supply plan and agreed to add a socio-economic component at the insistence of the agency's Environmental Justice Task Force.

The meeting schedule is:

Tuesday, 7 p.m., Heartlove Place, 3229 N. King Drive, Milwaukee.

Thursday, 7 p.m., Schuetze Recreation Center, Frame Park, 1120 Baxter St., Waukesha.

March 15, 7 p.m., Goodwill Industries, 1400 Nike Drive, Waukesha.

March 18, 6 p.m., Independence First, 540 S. 1st St., Milwaukee.
