Drivers On The Information Super-Highway Will Not Pay Tolls

I predict failure for the upcoming effort in England for leading newspapers there to charge for Internet access.

Actually, newpapers in the US often have success in getting their readers to pay for online editions. People in other countries usually realize that nothing is free, and if they want quality news, they have to pay for it.

When I lived in Korea, part of my rent went toward a subscription to the local newspaper.

Of course, people may not value Murdoch's offerings enough to pay for them.
