SEWRPC Advertises For Water/Socio-Economic Study Consultant

The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is seeking submissions from consultants interested in supplying a socio-economic analysis for its draft regional water supply study.

Details posted on its website indicate that submissions to SEWRPC from interested consultants be submitted by June 30, and whomever is selected will be given 90 days to complete the analysis.

The analysis was sought by SEWRPC's Environmental Justice Task Force after it and others argued its absence weakened the relevancy of the draft water supply study.

Initially, SEWRPC resisted the idea, but subsequently agreed to add it to the study with the work of an independent consultant.

More about this later.

Independent consultant? Does that mean Ruekert and Mielke have a socio-economic consultant on staff?

I have no idea. But this is moment for the Environmental Justice Task Force to step forward and make strong recommendations.
