Afternoon Format Change At WTMJ-AM; So Long, Green and The Green House

Tim Cuprisin at OnMilwaukee.com explains the arrival of John Mercure in the 3-6 p.m. slot at AM 620 WTMJ and the departure of long-time host Jonathan Green and his "Green House."

The Green House was funnier when Phil Cinanciola was there, or when fill-in host  Mark Reardon - - now ensconced in St. Louis - - had the mic.

Green had morphed into a curmudgeon, and his grumpy, often-without-context lapses into vanilla conservative talker mode were deadening.

Maybe the new show will have some buzz and content. We'll see.

Yes, I'm hoping Mercure will continue to go after sex offenders and pedophiles, with which he seemed obsessed at Channel 4. Maybe he could have Senator-elect Ron Johnson on to explain why pedophiles aren't really so bad and victims don't deserve compensation. Here's hoping,

Did not realize WTMJ even had an afternoon show.

Who exactly is Jonathan Green and what is the Green House?

Thought all the plant & garden shows were on Saturday mornings.
