What is sad is that yes they feel persecuted, but they are campaigning to keep their persecutors in power.
"The Tea Pity Rally:" You and Christopher Hitchens have hit on a good line to describe the Tea Party people, which should catch on in a big way to punch holes in their presumed power. Self-pity is not an attractive trait, not a trait of true grown-ups. Regarding the signs they carried warning that next time they'll bring their guns, also indicates a lack of authentic self-confidence, which is assuaged by showing a big fat pistol.
The fact that you think the Beck Rally was a Tea Party event just highlights how clueless you are.
Just as clueless as you will be on November 3rd when you are asking yourself "What just happened"?
