Pipeline Company Pays Pittance For 100+ Violations

$1.1 million is good enough for Attorney General J. B. Van Hollen.

Pittance? yes, pittance. Right word, pittance. It was a $2.1 billion pipeline project to get tar sand oil down from Alberta, so the forfeitures paying the people of Wisconsin whose wetlands and waterways and other trust properties were trashed in violation of the construction permits equal just a hair over 0.05% of the total project cost.
