Bar License Suspension: Video And More Information

The Franklin tavern that lost its license for 90 days admitted it thought a heavy drinker they repeatedly served would leave the premises and sleep it off out in his van - - as they knew he had done previously, according to a Milwaukee television station.

Story and video, here.

Instead, the inebriated patron drove away, 18 drinks later, and killed two people.

For those of you who think this was all an "accident," feel free to read the criminal complaint in the case - - a 19-page history of the defendant's behavior, including multiple OWI convictions as well as the events that led up to the double-fatal crash.

That won the tavern a 90-day suspension, the first of its kind in state history.

And you think the state doesn't enable drunk driving? (Wisconsin has the highest rate of drunken driving in the nation, and national estimates put your chances of being in an alcohol-related traffic crash sometime in your life between 30-60%.)

Two lives lost.

A 90-day suspension.

Begs the question of how many people does a patron have to kill for a tavern to lose its license?

Earlier post here.

I read the 19 page report,,,,kinda
between the blurring eyes....it all looks alike after awhile....lol

on the 25 th of dec 2007

Female bartender worked 10 am to 5 pm. Keck came in 2x that day once one her shift from 11am to 12 noon had 2 12 ounce beers.

Keck came back in at 3:30 to 6 pm had 2 12 ounce beers and 2 shots,
possibly 1 more shot with the female bartender and her boyfriend accoding to the male bartender.

The male bartender came in at 5 pm and worked to 8 pm. serving Keck 1 12 ounce beer and 1 shot.

The day before on the 24th of dec 2007. Keck said he was in the Buckhorn from 12 noon to 10 pm and had 6 beers maybe more. Had nothing to drink till the next day the 25th.

The van was for work and belonged to his boss.

Now Keck was a 3x loser He was fined, jailed, licence revoked and ignition interlock. He was driving with no licence when the accident occured.

Now the police report calls this an ACCIDENT,,,,thats not me saying that...lol. Now it was an accident that turned into a homicide.

I see all kinds of problems after reading this. NOT GOING THERE....lol.

This male bartender, trying to show how smart he is....how long he's been doing this and knows what to look for and has worked in rehab.GHEEZ....He opens himself up for a law suit and now has no job due to the bar closing.

And Kecks BOSS letting him drive with no licence...if he didnt know,he should have checked. The insurance carrier whats the INFO of the drive, driver licence number to verify the drivers record and if the licence is vaild.

SUE the tavern, the bartenders and the boss.

A word to the wise if your ask questions give the bare minimal information, If a yes or no will do use it...you may open yourself up to be sued,,,or go to jail also.
Cooperate but dont volunteer anymore then you need too.
