Mining Company No Fan Of Local Ordinance

GTAC probably thought the Wisconsin Legislature had stamped out every vestige of local control in the Great Citizen Input Purge Of 2013, so little wonder the company sees problems in Iron County's effort to save itself from the bulldozers.

Details, here.

The local ordinances are now being written because local officials are just now realizing the negative impacts the states law as it was pushed through and written.

Some officials are just now realizing how badly they have been screwed in the fine print.

Those of us who have been opposed to mine from the begin wish that theses details had been address as the legislation was being push through. Sadly that did not happen.

Patching the problems through local ordinances is our only recourse at this time.
