It's Only An Online Poll, But Racism Is Leading, 60-40, Right Now

Journal Sentinel poll on the Food Network pulling the N-word devotee's cooking program. 60% don't favor the cancellation.

Update: An hour later, still 60-40.

Further Updates: Five hours later, 60-40.

At Midnight, 60-40.

24 hours later: Still 60-40.

Depressing.

A vote for bad health and bad taste in more ways than one.

If Paula Deen were black and said things similar to, say, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the poll would be 99-1 in favor of cancellation.

And people try to claim racism is dead in America.

This is an artificial conflation. Same on you lily white leftists.

In the interest of fairness, the Journal should do a poll on a variety of racial epithets. I have a hunch that Kraut, Bohunk and Polock would have high rates of disapproval.

I wouldn't agree that accepting someone for past actions is equivalent to racism. If she was raised in an environment where the n-word was completely acceptable, it can and does take time to change those attitudes.

Now if the poll asked questions about her using the term on the air today, that would be a different story.

There are only two or three cases in which this was not true, so just believe it.
