MADD Circulating Online Petition For Toughened Drunk Driving Laws
Mothers Against Drunk Driving, (MADD), is circulating an online petition in favor of toughened drunk driving legislation, and law enforcement, in the wake of recent fatal crashes involving repeat OWN offenders.

I see that unlike another petition, available on the links page at www.todaystmj4.com, this MADD petition does not call for confiscating vehicles -- which I believe would send a much-needed, very strong signal of zero tolerance for drunk driving -- but instead advocates an interlock breath-test system. I wonder how effective that is. Couldn't someone other than the driver, even perhaps a small child, be enlisted to easily get around such a system?
