What An $823,000 Campaign Donation Buys These Days

So State Supreme Court Justice Annette Ziegler decided to write off loans she made to her campaign, essentially converting $823,000 to a donation.

I guess that establishes the market rate for a Supreme Court seat.

i am a young guy and haven't done much research on this issue...but can someone tell me the benefits of ELECTING judges?

especially when judicial elections have such low turnout rates, it seems that the candidate that puts up the most money (or has the most special connections) will be the one that gets elected.

why does WI not appoint judges like we do at the national level?
