Gableman Race-Baiting A Dry Run For Anti-Obama Ads

I'm sure that national rightist 527 groups and the GOP are closely watching Mike Gableman's Supreme Court campaign to see if his notorious race-baiting ad helps defeat incumbent Justice Louis Butler.

They will use it as a measure of just how brazenly they can play the race card against Barack Obama, should be win the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Right has to be happy now that Willie Horton-type ads are back in vogue.

What will constitute racist?

An ad that features a picture of Obama? Should the "rightest 527's" and the GOP refrain from using images of the Senator?

An ad that shows/discusses Obama's racist pastor? Are the people who Obama keeps company with not fair matters to discuss? The NYT seems to think that McCain should be judged based on the company he has kept? Will you similarly denounce McCain's S&L scandal ties because certainly, he shouldn't be judged on who he keeps company with...

At the end of the day, the "rightest 527's" and the GOP know that people like you will quickly denounce any criticism of Obama as racist - true or not.

I guess time will tell. But you've told us that you are expecting it, and hence we expect you to cry wolf.
