Milwaukee Smart To Go After Google Fiber Investment; Now Do Your Part
Milwaukee is getting into the corporate sweepstakes - - where the winner gets a big infusion of Google upgrades and other investments.
In other words - - jobs and better Internet services, which also make the economy run smoother.
It's a national and statewide competition, so citizen support is a must.
There is a Facebook page up and running with the name Google Fiber for Milwaukee. Log in and friend it and urge others to follow suit.
And Google has a website, and form, on which you can register and nominate Milwaukee - -here.
So forward this around, get signed up and push Milwaukee - - Wisconsin's most diverse city, and the state's financial, cultural and commercial center - - as the next Google Internet city.

Hope Milwaukee gets this.
Another competitor for the 2 existing primary internet providers would always be a good thing. Would result in better service for lower cost regardless of who your provider is.
And off-hand it looks like it won't involve any tax-payer money or granting of exclusivity like the idiotic Wi-FI scam of a couple years ago.
